Now that we are a member of the Vine Multi Academy Trust, some of the policies we work with are trust wide ones;  others are models which we will adapt as necessary. There are other policies which we think are important which are unique to Colne Engaine.  Over a period we will replace the lists here to reflect the new policy structure.

Please also look at the page at Adults >>> Governors >>> Policies where policies that have been either noted from the Vine or accepted by the Local Governing Body are filed as they become available

To see the policies which originate from the Vine Trust, use this link.

If you require a paper copy of any of this information, we are required to give it to you free of charge.

COVID-19.  In response to the emergency the Vine Trust has produced a policy for "Child Protection during school closure", accompanied by an appendix giving details of responsible people with contact information. Also a supplement issued in May 2020

CEOP is a command of the National  Crime Agency, and is dedicated to tackling the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people. CEOP is here to help young people (up to age 18) who have been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online or in the real world. We also offer advice and links to support in response to other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying or hacking. For information, advice and to report concerns directly to CEOP, visit the Safety Centre by clicking on the Click CEOP button.

Parent Info is a collaboration between Parent Zone and CEOP, a command of the National Crime Agency.

Parent Info provides high quality information to parents and carers about their children's wellbeing and resilience. Schools can host the content on their own website and use it in any other ways (in letters to parents etc) that they want.

This service is free and ranges across a wide range of subject matter, from difficult topics about sex, relationships and the internet or body image and peer pressure to broader parenting topics like ‘how much sleep do teenagers need?’

Booklets that will be helpful:

The policies above are those which we think parents and carers will find most useful.

We are required to have a large number of other policies.  We list them here for information.
